Welcome to the International Dyslexia Association-Indiana Branch website. No state or region has a longer affiliation with the International Dyslexia Association than Indiana-some 45 years. During these years we have worked tirelessly on behalf of those individuals and their families who struggle with dyslexia. We provide information, support and teacher training so they may best serve their dyslexic students. We are focused on our vision, “Until everyone can read.” We hope you find this website informational and helpful as you seek information regarding dyslexia.

You’re Invited to Attend the Signing of the Dyslexia Bill, SB217
Governor Holcomb will hold a ceremonial bill signing for SB 217 on Monday, April 23rd at 3:50pm in the South Atrium of the State House. This landmark bill includes a requirement for dyslexia screenings and intervention in Indiana public schools. It requires each district, and the Indiana Department of Education, to hire a reading specialist, trained in identifying and teaching students with dyslexia. Schools will also screen kids in kindergarten through second grade for different risk factors tied to dyslexia and other reading difficulties, and report that data to the state. Your RSVP is requested. If you plan to attend, please email Senator Houchin at firstname.lastname@example.org or call her at 317.232.9488!
